Tensions Between Israel and Hezbollah: Kuwait Urges Citizens to Leave Lebanon Amid Rising Israel-Hezbollah War Fears
Amid rising fears of a war between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the Kuwaiti government has urged its citizens to leave Lebanon as soon as possible. Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry has also advised its nationals against traveling to Lebanon given the current security situation in the region.
This move comes after Israeli media reports suggested that Hezbollah might launch a preemptive surprise attack on Israel. On the other hand, Israel’s Foreign Minister has said that the country will soon take “the necessary decisions” to stop potential attacks.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has confirmed operational plans for a large-scale attack on Lebanon. This is while Hezbollah has linked halting its attacks on Israel to the end of Israel’s offensive on Gaza.
Cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah along the Lebanese border has intensified, raising concerns about a wider war. The UN Secretary-General has warned that cross-border hostilities should not turn Lebanon into “another Gaza.”
