UN Women warns millions will remain in extreme poverty by 2030

صدها میلیون زن تا سال ۲۰۳۰ در فقر شدید باقی میمانند

UN Women has warned that without immediate action, around 351 million women and girls will remain in extreme poverty by 2030. The report, released on Thursday, January 8, highlights that the world is failing to achieve gender equality targets due to current economic trends.

The crisis is largely driven by a lack of investment and structural neglect of women’s rights globally. However, bridging the digital gender gap could empower over 343 million women and lift 30 million people out of poverty, offering a viable path forward.

The organization emphasizes that gender equality is the foundation of peace, development, and human rights. It urges global leaders to prioritize these issues to ensure a fairer future and sustainable growth for all.
