Islamabad says that Pakistan’s Deputy Minister of Commerce will go to Afghanistan on a two-day visit today, Monday, March 25

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, wrote on the X network (former Twitter) yesterday Sunday that Mohammad Khorram Agha is traveling to Afghanistan to discuss business issues.

He added that Pakistan remains committed to expanding trade and people-to-people relations with Afghanistan.

This official of Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce is scheduled to travel to Afghanistan as Pakistan’s airstrikes in Paktika and Khost provinces last week have apparently increased tensions between the Taliban government and Islamabad.

The Taliban condemned these attacks and considered it a violation of Afghanistan’s territory.

According to the Taliban, eight civilians, including six children and two women, were killed in these attacks that took place early on Monday, March 18.

But Islamabad said that the target of these attacks were terrorists affiliated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, a group that, according to Islamabad, is responsible for several terrorist attacks inside the country, along with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban.
