Blinken: The Taliban’s restrictions on women are against the wishes of the Afghan people
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says that the Taliban’s restrictions on women are against the will of the Afghan people. He said that the majority of Afghan people want access to education for women.Blinken made these statements yesterday (Tuesday, August 8) at the “Coalition for Economic Resistance of Afghan Women” meeting organized by the US State Department and Boston University.Blinken said that the Taliban continue to deny women and girls access to secondary schools and universities and prevent them from participating in all sectors of the Afghan economy.
