Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Egypt for the first time in more than a decade.

The purpose of Mr. Erdogan’s visit is the war in Gaza.  Mr. Erdogan was welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi when he left the plane.Erdogan is traveling in Egypt after 11 years.The two countries severed ties in 2013 after Sisi’s coup and the ouster of the late Egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi.Turkey has had close relations with Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood since Mr. Erdogan took office, but the two countries went through a tense period between 2013 and 2023.But the relations between these two countries have improved in recent years.It should be mentioned that the purpose of Mr. Erdoğan’s visit is about the Gaza war.This is despite the fact that Turkish President Erdogan has repeatedly criticized Israel in his speeches
