Uzbekistan wants investment to establish a cement factory and produce electricity in Afghanistan

Bakhtiar Saidov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, in a meeting with Taliban Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, said that his country wants to invest in Afghanistan to build a cement factory, extract coal and produce 200 megawatts of electricity from coal.The Taliban Prime Minister’s Office has published a statement on X that the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan and the country’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs met with Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund today (Tuesday, 22 August).
