Banning the activity of Hamas and its related elements by Switzerland
The Swiss government has announced that it wants to ban the activities of Hamas after the organization’s attacks on Israel last year, which led to the death of nearly 1,200 people and ignited the war in Gaza.The Reuters news agency reported on Wednesday, February 21, that it has taken measures after the attacks on October 7 last year, which killed two Swiss citizens and took nearly 250 hostages.The Swiss government added that according to the new law, the activities of Hamas and its “cover or surrogate organizations” as well as organizations or groups that operate on its behalf or in its name will be banned.
