CASA-1000 energy transmission project will resume in Afghanistan
The World Bank has announced that under the Bank’s new approach to support the people of Afghanistan, the work of the CASA-1000 energy transfer project will resume in Afghanistan.
According to the announcement of the World Bank, the bank’s “Board of Executive Directors” on Thursday, 15 February approved a new adjusted approach called “Approach 3.0” to support the people of Afghanistan.
The announcement of the World Bank states that the work of the CASA-1000 project will be resumed at the request of the three neighboring countries of Afghanistan in order to avoid the risk of this project becoming a “stray asset”.
