Climate change; More than one million people in Afghanistan are suffering from respiratory diseases

Maulvi Abdul Kabir, political deputy of the Taliban’s Prime Minister’s Office, said at the climate change conference held at Nangarhar University, that in the last 20 years, foreign invaders have caused more damage to Afghanistan’s climate. He asked the international community to fulfill its responsibility in preventing climate problems in Afghanistan. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban added that due to the increase in climate problems, more than one million people in Afghanistan are suffering from respiratory diseases. He listed the forests of the country as one of the priorities of the Islamic Emirate and asked the people to increase their cooperation with the Afghan government in this field.
