The arrival of the Azerbaijani ambassador to Kabul;

Ambassador of Azerbaijan came to Kabul. The Taliban’s foreign ministry says that Ilham Mohammadov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan, has come to Kabul and had an introductory meeting with Amir Khan Motaghi, the acting foreign minister of the Taliban.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, wrote on X on Thursday, 15 Feb that this Azerbaijani diplomat delivered the letter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan regarding the opening of the country’s embassy in Kabul to Motaghi.

Balkhi added that Motaghi called the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul for the first time and the sending of a diplomat at the ambassador level an important development in bilateral relations and called it a good sign of the friendship between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.

Motaghi has assured the ambassador of Azerbaijan that he will provide the necessary assistance to the embassy of this country in Kabul.
