Taliban Collected One Billion Afghanis from Phone Credit Cards

Kabul – Officials of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology say they have collected 1.5 billion afghanis from the phone credit card revenues over the past four months.

“Since the Taliban took office, the revenues from the 10 percent credit card tax have risen to  1,543,400,000 afghanis,” said Enayatullah Alokozai, the ministry’s spokesperson today Sunday, December 26.

The amount was collected in the last four months after the Taliban came to power, he added.

Meanwhile, a large number of citizens criticized the plan of the previous government and demanded its cancellation.
