Iran, Finland Call for ‘Inclusive’ Government in Afghanistan
Tasnim News Agency reported that the Iranian and Finnish foreign ministers have called for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan during a meeting in Tehran.
Tasnim reported on Tuesday that Foreign Minister of Finland Pekka Haavisto had met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdullahian.
The two foreign ministers stressed the need for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan in order to ensure that country’s domestic stability and regional security.
According to the news agency, the two sides discussed joint efforts to manage the effects and consequences of the developments in Afghanistan on refugees, the fight against drug trafficking, and the fight against terrorism.
The Iranian and Finnish foreign ministers stressed the need to support the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan in a way that promotes political stability and regional security.
