Kabul – The Interior Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan confirms that a cleric was killed in Kabul by unidentified gunmen.

The religious scholar was attacked and killed by unknown gunmen this morning Saturday, December 18, while going to the mosque in Kotal-e Khair khanah area of ​​Kabul 17th district, according to the information.

The Taliban named this religious scholar Mawlawi Bismillah Shakir and specified that he was the co-principle of the supreme Arabic Darul Uloom in Kabul, according to Bakhtar news agency.

Moreover, Mawlawi Shakir completed his religious studies in Medina and served in Qatar for some time.

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Abed was also targeted by a mine yesterday and was superficially wounded.

However, the Taliban have launched an investigation to arrest the perpetrators of the attacks.
