The German newspaper &#8220;Welt&#8221; reported on Monday, October 12, that these cases include marriages of girls as young as 11 and 12. In 2018, the marriage of a 14-year-old Afghan girl to a 30-year-old man was annulled.<\/p>\n<p>Another annulled marriage was that of an 11-year-old girl from Iraq who had married a 17-year-old boy in 2020. Registered cases include the marriage of a 12-year-old Afghan girl to an 18-year-old man in 2020, and another 12-year-old Afghan girl to a 21-year-old man in 2023.
