On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the United Nations and human rights organizations have called for the lifting of restrictions by the Taliban and the end of violence against women in Afghanistan. On the occasion of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a 16-day campaign against gender-based violence has been launched in the world.
According to international human rights organizations, in the past three years, the Taliban have issued more than 100 decrees and directives to restrict women, the most important of which is preventing girls from studying above the sixth grade.
Afghan women held protest inside and outside the country, these women say that the international community has failed in fighting violence against women in Afghanistan.
UNAMA has also said that violence against women is not justified anywhere in the world, including Afghanistan, and that the United Nations in Afghanistan is committed to responding to the needs of women and girls who are victims of violence, strengthening their voices and defending their rights.
But the Taliban insist that women’s rights are secured in Afghanistan
