The lack of electricity has not only caused serious challenges for businessmen, shopkeepers and residential houses, but has also made industrial and manufacturing companies face collapse. Many production centers have been shut down due to the lack of electricity or their production levels have been greatly reduced. The lack of electricity has affected people when the economic crisis has put increasing pressure on them. Many families cannot afford to pay for their electricity. Most of the electricity required by Afghanistan is imported from neighboring countries, especially Uzbekistan, and the electricity generation devices inside Afghanistan have a small share in the country’s electricity supply. Although there are many flowing waters in Afghanistan, which can be used to provide electricity, but so far, the necessary investment has not been made in this field. Meanwhile, the Taliban have repeatedly emphasized that they are trying to increase the capacity of domestic energy sources in the country and have discussed with some domestic and foreign companies in this regard.
