Russia, Iran and China are holding warship exercises in the Gulf of Oman

Russia has announced that a group of its warships have entered Iran to participate in exercises with Iran and China in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.According to Reuters news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Monday, March 11 that these joint exercises were held under the name “Maritime Security Belt-2024” and included warships and aviation.The ministry added: “The practical part of this exercise will be conducted in the waters of the Gulf of Oman in the Arabian Sea, and the main purpose of these exercises is to check the safety of maritime economic activities.”
