The Extended Troika Summit to Be Held in Kabul, Russian Top Envoy Says

Kabul – The special representative of Russia for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov says he is coordinating a date for the extended Troika meeting in Kabul by the end of February.

The participating countries of the extended Troika summit (Russia, the United States, China, and Pakistan) are now coordinating the date for the next round of talks before the end of February in Kabul, according to TASS news agency, quoting the Russian Special envoy for Afghanistan today (Tuesday, February 1).

According to Zamir Kabulov, the Russian side has focused the extended Troika on completing the intra-Afghan- peace process, as well as the international community’s participation in comprehensive post-war reconstruction in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Russia’s special envoy had earlier announced that the meeting of the extended Troika would be held in Moscow by the end of January. In addition, China had also informed that the summit would be held in Beijing by the end of January.

However, the previous meeting of the extended Troika was held in Islamabad on November 11, hosted by Pakistan.
