Kabul – The Taliban’s director of agriculture for Nangarhar province Abdul Sattar Mohammad says that 550 tons of honey have been produced in the province this year.

There are 650 beekeeping farms in the province, with 40,000 families making a living from the produce, according to him.

According to Abdul Sattar, the honey of the province is sold throughout the country, adding that Nangarhar honey has sales centers in Kabul, Balkh, and a number of other cities in the country, and the price of a kilo of honey in these centers is between 300 and 1,000 afghanis.

Nangarhar is one of the most fertile and agricultural provinces of the country, where in addition to agricultural products, livestock, beekeeping, and poultry farms are flourishing.
